About Me

I am an engineer with over a dozen years of experience spanning multiple industries and technical disciplines.

I began my career as an operations engineer for a large integrated oil producer in Alberta. As a junior engineer, I rotated through diverse roles: from "turning the literal wrenches" as a hands-on operator and technician to managing multi-million dollar operational projects from the office. This period grounded my engineering approach in real-world, physical constraints.

After earning my Master’s in Software Engineering with a focus on Machine Learning, I transitioned into professional software development. I’ve since navigated the full software lifecycle across various environments—from agile startups to large-scale enterprises—within the fintech, healthcare, and biotech domains.

At my core, I am a builder. I specialize in translating complex, physical-world challenges into elegant digital solutions. I’m driven by an innate love for problem-solving—a passion that follows me home, where I spend much of my spare time tackling hobby projects and learning new systems.
